Ircon International has issued tender packages VIl and VIII inviting Indian and Myanmar bidders to carry out the construction of a two-lane road according to NH specifications up to black top, including cross drainage structure in Chin State.
Package VII covers from km50 to km60.7, and package VIII from km60.7 to km70.7.
Packages VII and VIII are estimated to cost Ks24,433,230,248 ($11.6m) and Ks41,178,723,234 ($19.6m) respectively, including all taxes.
The bid submission deadline is 23 February at 15:00.

Myanmar Transport Infrastructure Monitor assumes this is for the Paletwa-Zorinpui Road, a component of the Kaladan Multi-Modal Transit Transport Project.
Recently, the company issued Package VI and IX, which covers the same scope of work from km89 to km99 and from km70.7 to km80.7 respectively.
Bids for packages III, IV, and V were scheduled to be opened in August. No updates on those tender packages have been reported since.
Package III covers from km10 to km20. The estimated cost of work for package III is Rs1,250,879,090 or Ks29,064,175,656 ($13.84m), inclusive of all taxes.
Package IV covers from km20 to km30. The estimated cost of work is Rs1,381,529,835 or Ks32,099,845,716 ($15.29m), inclusive of all taxes.
Package V covers from km30 to km40. The estimated cost of work is Rs1,463,017,698 or Ks 33,993,216,213 ($16.19m), inclusive of all taxes.
