The Department of Transport Planning has announced that it will introduce a digital system for renewing and amending domestic operator licenses starting 10 February in Yangon and Mandalay on a trial basis.
A full transition to digital licensing is set for 1 April.
The initiative, developed in partnership with Secure Link Co Ltd, aims to streamline administrative processes under the 2016 Road Transport Operations Law.
A nationwide rollout, including web and mobile-based licensing, is planned in the next six months.
